for more information on the skipped section at around 3:40 he is talking about how to utilise the right tool for the job, if you only need to apply 1nm of torque then a 5 litre v8 that produces 400nm isnt the right tool. the gearing refers to the ability to change the load while maintaining a speed. if you expect to have more resistance you should use a higher gear ratio (ie 6:1 is more top speed 8:1 is more acceleration) with more rpm

@6:06 I like the distinction of the self inductance of the windings, and the back EMF caused by the rotation. I can't remember seeing it represented that way, and it bothered me(that back EMF wasn't symbolized). So that way of representing it helps it make more sense to me, because again I didn't have a symbolic way to separate the self inductance from the back EMF.

Was I the only one disturbed by 1:04? Superglue all over the fingers?
@KilianGosewisch6 жыл бұрын
Super glue was actually invented to glue skin. If it's pure super glue you can even use it to close wounds. No worries

Who HASN'T had super glue all over their fingers. Girly boys who wear rubber gloves? Be a man and do it without finger condoms.

Thanks. Now I know how does (regenerative) breaking works on electric cars and why they charge battery back while on a trip. I also can imagine (at least on the surface) what engineering challenges engineers faces while developing such technologies.

I have been wondering why haven't you yet made videos about driving mosfets, emi filtering, etc you've mentioned in this video. Your videos are very useful to me personally and I find your ability to dig up, refine and present information to be quite commendable. I tip my hat of to you sir. I learn a lot of new things and even clears up or refreshes many concepts I forgotten. Sometimes I use info from your videos to help my students in class, if not, I just directly say to them to see your video on those topics and tell them he explains it better and he is funny too. I watch your videos even if I m not particularly looking for anything. This video particularly is one of my favorites and have watched it may be a few dozen times while just wondering around your channel. So I think you should do those videos especially on the emi filltering. I would love to see your take on the topic as it is one of things that fascinates me more than any other. Anyways Thanks for reading. Take care. :)
