That's what I'm talking about. Bravo ++. That's the kind of stuff I liked to do circa 1999 - 2000. Texas Instruments 377x gate drivers? More of this stuff and you'll have me building SSTC stuff again. Nice dude.

Thanks, interesting, like your video! Here's a youtube video I want to share with you and everyone! The title is : Continuous Electric Display (CED) In this video, I will do a short demonstration of a new analog display technology, made with static electricity. It is a technique that uses the Jacob's Ladder effect.

couldn't you stabilize it in the middle of the sphere with magnets?

Hello, could you measure the temperature of the plasma please?,and could you also tell me how much voltage you use to ionize the gas there?

Hey mate, what is the Vpp do you get in the node between the 2.5 mH inductor and the 100 pF condenser? (Relative to the groud). Awesome work btw!;)

How did you change the parameters compared to the stable ring?

how the hell does that work? the magnetic forces themselves ionzing the plasma?
@doomslayer5918 Жыл бұрын
The coils create a changing magnetic field then that magnetic field has its own electric field that ionizes the gas, so pretty close to what you guessed, and noting the shape of it, at certain frequencies the electric field pulls it in a way where it folds onto itself making a toriod
@empressofmadness Жыл бұрын
@@doomslayer5918 it's kina hard to visualize that in my head, but fortunately the plasma torus helps show us the exact electric field path

Does it move from up to down or does it disappear and reappear at the bottom?
@elyesgrati Жыл бұрын
It "disappears" then other gas gets ionized near the coil

Please do the following experiment: Place the same flask with a lit match inside on your oscillator. The flask may not be airtight. Theoretically, you can make a fire plasma toroid in this way. As it was done in the microwave, in the good old days :) This would be a good step in the direction of thermonuclear :)
