Thanks for reviewing these. I'd started looking at getting an e-scooter for occasional use yesterday and came across your videos. I've seen the techtron elite 3500 on offer so got it for £221 (all inc) last night which I think it's a very affordable price for someone looking for an entry e-scooter. I'm not convinced it's a good idea to have the battery in the down tube. My scooter has the battery in the bed and I've never once felt like I was going to tip forward. Having the battery high and at the front of the scooter must make it feel unstable and more prone to tipping forward.

Aovo pro es80, under 250quid. Good value for money. Bluetooth, solids, 19mph, front n back lights, brilliant for work. Would recommend.

At 19mph everywhere about 10mls. Truthfully you don't want to bother with eco it's walking pace at 4mph. Middle speed 11mph. Range increased to 15mls ish. Mine does a round trip of 3mls 3 mornings that leaves about 25-30% battery for a 4th trip but I always charge it up at those levels.

I haven't looked at the UK laws regarding e-scooters, as they were not a thing years ago when I lived there, but you can ride them on public roads as long as you get the most basic driver's license (CBT?) and register the scooter and put a license plate on it and go through MOT and get insurance, right...? Just like with a petrol scooter you would...?

@@Laurynas_LTU E-scooters are not classified as a vehicle in the UK so you can't register them. This means you can't insure them and they have no clue how to regulate if they are "road worthy" The government are slowly and i mean slowly trying to think of "safety rules" most people consider this to be code for "generate money rules" The only ones you can use in the UK legally have to be rented from licensed company's and used in specific areas by people over 18 with full driving licenses. The stupid thing is you can get a E-bike and ride it pretty much everywhere (as long as it has pedals) with no license, insurance, registration or age restriction.

Yes I had the techtron ultra 5000 a great bit of kit but I prefer a scooter with solid tyres so I'm not looking at the techtron elite great video as always guys

The Riley RS1 is a great option in that price bracket. The more time I've spent with it, the more I think it's the best affordable scooter on the market

I have the old model RS1/Decent One and I'm not getting the range out of the battery, not even going that far each day(about 4 miles round trip) and I have to charge it twice. I'm not even that heavy so battery fault maybe?

I live in Denmark, where the speed limit for electric scooters are 20 km/h. Is it possible to set the max speed for 20 km/h from the manufactor ?? Either with some software, or engine mechanics ??

look to buy from your country so it already got the speed limiter on on 20km/h. here in us is 25.

Nice video. I'll only consider buying a cheaper electric scooter if it goes faster than or I can make it go faster than the standard 15mph by updating firmware or whatever. I'd prefer to buy an Aovo pro 365 which hits 20mph+ or a 2nd hand Xiaomi m365 pro than one of these new ones because i can change the firmware to get 20mph

Check out the E-Dash LE1 on the Electroheads.com site - it goes 20mph as standard and has a similar design to the Riley RS1 (but with longer range).

Excellent video as always just little favour could you try out a Lehe K1 scooter I know it’s a seat on scooter I own two of these and I think they are great I’ve had the manufacturer add on a crank and chain and pedals At the moment I’m getting away with it though the police have seen me many times Also H&O D50 a much larger scooter restricted speed unfortunately but very comfortable ride considering it’s without suspension I do hope the government get there act together so we can enjoy riding any escooter thanks for all your information Brilliant

The problem with these reviews is that scooters are not road legal and anyone using one on a public road faces a driving without insurance charge, points on their licence and a hefty fine. I’ve seen more and more being ridden by children, without helmets being driven on pavements and roads sometimes dangerously.

Police compound near my home is full of hundreds of escooters been seized from riders never to be returned to owners who belive they can lawfully ride them on public foot paths and roads. Few people have acsess to large plots of private land to ride these, leaglely.

Safety, Reliability and Stopping Power - my 3 criteria. IF you want range, it'll be HEAVY (and more expensive) - it's all about compromise (the aforementioned portability v range for instance, so ask yourself what exactly do you need/want it for?). Now; 15:40 - "Would you want to p*ss off a channel that has 100,000 subscribers?....." - Ailish said something similar recently - I gotta say, that comes across as a tad arrogant/cocky, which, like pride, "cometh before the proverbial fall" - 100,000 subscribers could easily unsubscribe, simply because not many of us take too well to arrogant/cocky! Just sayin' (good review though).
