I think the professor is actually writing conventionally and the image is reversed for presentation. For evidence of this idea, look at his shirt pocket - it's on his right. A single-pocket men's shirt has the pocket on the left. Also look at the buttons; the arrangement is reversed from men's attire conventions. We are seeing the mirror image of the man. (He must've used his left hand when demonstrating the Right Hand Rule too!)

They see a screen off to the side that has a live video feed, so that they can see what we see in the video. He uses a mirror to invert the video picture before capturing it on camera, so he is writing normal on his side of the screen. The live audience will see the backwards writing on the board in addition to the.forwards writing on the video screen.
