Yeah Lay your hand across my face, yeah Time we lost, that's all my fault Please don't be long 'Cause I want you now I don't have love Without you 'round Life is too short But I will live for you How did this fit in your story? Yeah Why'd you let them judge your body? Yeah I'll be waitin' there outside, yeah Please don't be long 'Cause I want your all I don't have fun Without your love Life is too short But I will live for you You're muckin' off But I will live for you, my selfless love Bite my tongue, I wait my turn I waited for a century Waste my breath, no lessons learned I turn and face the enemy I'm not scared, just don't care I'm not listenin', you hear? @@MB-wk4sb the tiktok community has a reputation of mainstreaming music that results in the said music being used in every single ad, every other movie, played on most FM radio stations and played at every single store (Forever 21, H&M etc). I’m simply acknowledging that I have respected and listened to the Strokes since before every middle schooler / high schooler nowadays who are exposed to this music on social media sights. Stats are sure to say that TikTok exposes bands (old & new) to the younger generation and since companies want products to sell/want more customers, they feature music that the young generation likes. For example, The Strokes did not have more than 40,000 streams on tiktok in 2018 and now, due to exposer on that app, there are more than 2 million streams. The Strokes Spotify stats were at 400,000-900,000 from 2006 up to 2019 and now they’re at 8 million. All I’m implying is that I was here before their music is played in elevators, throughout malls, in chipotle, in restrooms, cafes, Starbucks and in department stores for all I know. It’s not that deep but I felt like I needed to explain what I meant!
