I'm 38 years old and I have 4 years left until I can retire from my current job. I have always wanted to pursue a job and electronics engineering. I've felt recently like I'm just told old and my time has come and gone, but after seeing this video, I am motivated and encouraged. Than you

if i attain a degree in electronic engineering by the age of 32 could i have any chance to get a job in a company or should I be viewed from potential employers as too old for this(and in order to get the degree you will have no working experience)?

It depends on your income situation. If you come from a poor family and are poor then go for anything that will make you $$. After that try to start your own business or go back to school to take up what your really passionate about. If your middle class and have parents to support you I would say pick something fun. As long as you don’t collect debt. Pick something fun. If that fails you can always start over.

Do you have to be good at math?

+bronxstar183 R. The school should post the Math requirement for the program itself, and the individual courses. (In their Academic Calendar/ Course Descriptions). My school had a requirement of College Algebra for the Electronics Technicians (2-year program). This was an Algebra course, right before Pre-Calculus. (You couldn't get lower than a C). Pre-Calculus was Trigonometry and more Algebra. So basically if you were to start fresh in a cc, it could go: Pre-Algebra--->Algebra 1---->Algebra 2---->College Algebra. This electronic field is a great mindset to develop: problem-solving, logic, defeating a challenge. Troubleshooting complicated machines, awesome.

There are several components to learning circuits. One resource I found which succeeds in merging these is the Gregs Electro Blog (google it if you're interested) definately the most incredible course that I've heard of. Check out this unbelievable website.
