Good songs dont go mainstream. Songs that go mainstream are always easy to listen and its the type of music that most of people describe as "its okay i guess" and not many people will dislike it. This type of music is for the specific group of people that listen to the genre, songs like this won't go mainstream because people that don't listen to this genre immediately will dislike it just by hearing a random part of the song.
