I can't play anything either believe it or not. I have a good ear and able to sequence everything in the piano roll so don't let not being able to play an instrument stop you in your DAW :)

Totally agree with Martin Zero. - - this is such an underrated song and I think the Oboe part is right up there with God Only Knows for beauty…..and this version is effin awesome!!

Great rework. This was just an album track for Electronic but Johnny Marrs guiter, the synth strings and the oboe outro makes it one of their best. For those who like a bit of oboe (or Cor Anglais) in the music try Dream Academy Life in a Northern Town and OMD Loud & Clear.
