Glad I found this right as mine was over heating... Thank you❤🌹🙏

I bought 3 of them. They all worked for 5 minutes. When i took them apart i was able to get them working again. One, by adjusting the wires. Another by pushing in the metal plates at each end of the battery slots, and another by loosening the tightness of the 2 screws holding the motor cover on. Even then, all 3 only lasted another 5 minutes. Shame, i really wanted them to work!!!😢

Don't get me started on the horror stories as a dollar tree employee hearing about the adult lubricant and air activated heating pads that caused chemical burns or them actually sending out expired food, and the long list of labor laws they break. Dollar tree should be shutdown. Permanently

It work for 2 mins started slow down. Can smell the burning smell. Let it sit for 2 hrs. Doesn’t turn on. Left it with the switch on. Magically starts running 5 mins later 😂

I bought one and mine stopped working after like an hour. Waste of money.

Reminds me of a cheap wireless keyboard that my brother bought. The batteries got so hot that it melted the battery compartment shut.

Holy crap! I had one of those and yeah it lasted only a few minutes before it slowed down and I noticed the batteries were so hot they'd literally burn me if I tried to remove them!

Small motors like that don't usually have bearings except if it's a higher quality one.

I just bought one today. It broke within 45 minutes and googled and found this video. Turns out 4 years after you made this they're still selling this trash. Oh well, $1.25 down the drain

5 amps 😳😳😳 holy sh makes sense why the poor batteries where heating up they where working there guts out to meet the amp draw of that tiny motor which should only be drawing like 0.3 amps

It uses a horrible motor i bought 2 and both had the same problem after running for a while the motor heats up which causes the shaft of the motor to become hot enough to melt the plastic end cap of the motor and it jammes the motor can't they use a slightly better motor which doesn't heat up under 3v

I could be wrong but 5 amps sounds like a hell of a lot to be drawing out of 2 little batteries or wait make that 4 batteries. You can get electrocuted pretty bad on 5 amps of house voltage. It's not the volts that get you it's the amps. That fan setup looks dangerous as hell. Looks like someone could get hurt really bad with that fan. Just because it is battery power does not make it safe. Like said given the right conditions they can blow up. I hope to hell someone DON'T get that for their kid or kids thinking it uses batteries so it must be safe. When getting something that uses power always look for the UL mark. (Underwriters Laboratory). Yet I don't know if they test battery operated stuff for public safety approval. I am thinking about other dollar priced electrical items like extension cords that are usually short on wire strands. I saw a video on that once. I wonder what the guy who runs the channel Electrical Industry Network would think of that fan setup from Dollar Tree or the guy from Safe Way Electric. Fans draw a lot of power on startup and when something say loss of oil on fan motor shaft causes them to have friction trying to spin they start really drawing the power. I had a dirty fan that I would like to bet caused the circuit breaker to trip. I spent most of today cleaning and reoiling the fan. Like said word needs to get out about stuff like you talked about in your video because I am concerned some kid could get hurt. (Special reminder fans need to be clean and motor shaft kept oiled.) Final note come to think of it I have a little motor that is included with my Snap Circuits 100 projects electronics kit so that there fan you have must have some faulty motor power draw for battery power supply design. Another thing to note by the looks of it the motor was not designed to run smooth. So if parts of the motor is bouncing around that could cause it to overheat as it fights to spin and the weak magnets don't help out either. Them melted wires show that the motor was really fighting to draw power = batters could explode. Yes that can become a short circuit. Not something you want to give kids.

That UL mark… yeah, I wouldn’t put any faith in that at all. I see cheap sh*t straight from China with all the special Capital Letters and certificate markings like it has gone thru some type of quality control and inspection when you know damn well that the only inspection it got when it left the factory was when the 5 year old kid put it onto the trucks.

the amount of these 1 doller fans i go threw is suprising, i rigged one of these and made it a usb and and the little plastic thing on the moter started melting and i just et it melt intell it stopped spinning
