Thank you teacher. I was getting many unwanted frequencies at 10.695 mhz interfrequency. I saw your explanations while researching how to get rid of these fake frequencies and I applied them. I used 64.695 mhz in 1st interfrequency. 2nd if 10.695 mhz passes through crystal filter. There is a pll vfo that works up to 160 mhz. si5351. 64.700+vfo in first mixer. I used 54 mhz (54 mhz fixed) in second mixer. I was passing the second mixer output through 10.695 mhz crystal filter. I also used a 10.695 mhz crystal oscillator in Ssb 10.693.5 lsb 10.696.5 mhz usb. By using high IF intermediate frequency, I got rid of many unwanted frequencies and chirping. Thank .😀

Very nice thank you. I know enough to confuse myself. I took apart a 1980's CB and realized it used VCO. Then I had to remind myself how a diode could be used as a voltage controlled capacitor...
