Check out the french band "Lyre le Temps" (about the trauma drum, hold the night, sweet sugar swing...) It's not exactly the same kind of music, but still nice and jazzy. And another Austrian DJ who is amazing: Klangkarrussel (sonnentanz). But as you said, he did just one track on the topic. Good luck.

Actually Parov Stelar performs as a Dj AND with his band - the Parov Stelar band. He also founded his own recording label Etage Noir Recordings. They are definitely both great :) but more work for the frenchies? I'm not convinced

Actually its Parov Stelar Trio which is considered a band. If you saw any of his live show's you will understand.The vocals and the instrumentation prove that on the majority of his song's as well.

ehh i dont know if i agree with that. Parov still has live instrumentation and vocals on alot of his tracks though. caravan's live sets and parov's are almost identical.
