So proud of Luis! I don’t believe surgery is an easy way out at all. My Children’s father had a Tio who passed away back in 08 who was more like his father, he had scheduled to do the sleeve but ended up passing away from complications of being over weight. I think some things don’t work for everyone as far as diet and weight loss so who is anyone to judge someone else’s life decisions. Surgery is risky and thank god Luis made it out and is on his weight loss journey! He’s going to have such a better quality of life for his children and family 🙏🏼. So excited to see how his body changes 😊

I can definitely say that going to the gym is a form of self care. I truly enjoy challenging my body and dedicating an hour of my day to it. I can also say I’ve been on the side where my body completely caved. I was bed-ridden for weeks and it sucked. I was so upset with my body. Now that I’m better, I realize the privilege it is to be able to move and be active.

Luis I’m so happy for you. I actually went to TJ 6/3/22 for a Gastric bypass . Im very excited for your new journey because I know the feeling of wanting the change especially for your children. Also, I know the perfect girl, who would definitely benefit for the give away. Her name is Niome, she’s a freshman. Straight A student also doing college classes. Unfortunately her parents don’t have the money to through her, her special quince she already turned 15, all she asked for was a quince but as of now. It’s something her parents can’t afford. I literally teared up when Luis was saying you eat to live not live to eat. Food really becomes an addiction and some days it’s all you can think about. I noticed me waking up and thinking hmm what am I going to have for breakfast today, for lunch, for dinner?! Eventually you come to the realization that you may have a problem. I’m currently in the bariatric program at Kaiser and for willing will have my surgery this summer. Luis praying your journey is all you expect it to be. I can’t wait to have more energy and feel comfortable in my own skin. I feel like I don’t recognize myself anymore and it’s very depressing and such a lonely feeling. 💞

Congrats skinny! Physically you don’t feel the weight loss at all, like I’ve lost 70+ myself with Gastric Sleeve and I feel like I look the same. In my mind I don’t look any different, I look the same. It’s hard because it’s all mind games. I developed Body Dysmorphia because of it but I’ll would not change it for anything in the world. This surgery saved my life! My health is 100% better and I’m only 23 😩.

That will be awesome! My big brother passed away last year in a motor cycle accident 39 days after we lost our dad. He left 2 children behind. My niece turned 11 a few days ago. She mention to me that she no longer wanted a 15 because her dad is gone and he promised her she will dance with her. 😫 my brother has been talking about her 15 since she was a baby. I really want her to have her 15 like my brother wanted her to have 🥺 I have a cute video of them dancing 2 years ago and I’m thinking of using it as a surprise.
