The table saw blade needs to be tilted away from the fence. You are going to have a nasty kick back at some point if you don't change how you're ripping with the blade tilting toward the fence.

You are obviously a master craftsman, but dude get rid of those crappy carbide scrapers and get yourself a good set of gouges, As a turner I know it must take forever to turn a vase that large by scraping. You won’t regret buying some good steel.
