@@SaulTeeNutz Eh, even in smash 4 it wasn't very good cuz it had a ton of lag and wasn't very strong whereas in this game both of those problems were fixed. Probably his second worst move in 4 (only slightly better than his down tilt which was also improved in this game).

Idk man, it's nuts. I personally like keeping tap jump on cause it's easier for me to do short hops, but I'm more of a tilt stick guy than a smash stick guy

Muscle memory, really. I don't use the Smash stick, but I tap jump. Stick jumps seems so unreliable and clumsy.

I don't know if I've ever seen someone get game 1 conditioned harder than that in my entire life. Almost never used cyclone and made cosmos think he could push advantage by winning out with sword on every interaction in game one.

Cosmos keeps trying to ledge trap with Dsmash and I think that's a mediocre option imo. The sourspot almost always hits, it has a lot of cooldown and it is kinda predictable. Ftilt is better in almost any way, both range, killpower and safe on block

The thing with Ftilt is that it only has 1 active frame to cover normal getup, when spaced at roll distance and 2 active frames at really close instead of 3 frames like Dsmash, which makes it strictier to time on reaction. The move is active for 2 frames, but the hitbox moves in a downward arc and it starts from overhead, unlike Dsmash which is a straight horizontal line. I don't know Cosmos' thought process, but I'm speaking from own experience. It's much easier to get a hit with Dsmash when there's any movement at ledge unless they jump, but Ftilt would also leave you vulnerable because how laggy it also is. Falling Fair or Dair would be even safer bet, but the jump must be preemptive.
