Oh, I love stripes, too! And floral wallpaper... I had to laugh when you said something about fancy, old lady wallpaper (I think I'm paraphrasing). You would LOVE my hallway to upstairs because it has floral wallpaper that includes little flourishes of sparkly, metallics that pick up the sunlight in the morning. I THINK IT'S GORGEOUS. Hahaha, I know you can relate to that. I love your style AND taste. I don't feel sorry for your hubby, I think he's one lucky guy to have such a talented spouse~ xo

I like walpaper too, especially as a wall accent. Ive seen it used in crafting/refurbishing too, on a dresser to be exact

That sounds AMAZING!!!! I love that it has the sparkly metallics in it. I’ve not found a floral paper that I like with the metallics, but I do have one I like with baroque flourishes. Do you remember the name of yours?

@@elegantupgrades Taryn, I searched and searched last night and could not find it yet. I do believe it is a Borastepeter paper (very William Morris style). I have a lot of them in my house. Let me dig through my old samples and see if I can find the name there, I have a huge stack from when I did more designing. I took 3 fresh photos this morning to give you an idea - no sun today, boo-hoo - but, you can still see the sparkles. I’ll post them on Instagram. 😘

@@elegantupgrades lol, no! I was having both my hips replaced with ones that work.😂 It’s been a big problem for a while but I can walk again now and bend and move! It’s been a four-month journey and I’ve got some more rehab to do. But I’ve been able to start some small projects and it’s wonderful. I’m very excited!🌸

Your esthetic and color choices are always spot on. I thoroughly enjoy all of your videos and need to go back to learn your blending techniques. I have an old dresser I've been wanting to revamp. However, the more I watch you, at once, I'm encouraged and intimidated. I just need to go for it. Yikes! Decision, decisions, decisions. The dresser belonged to my grandparents from the 1920s and I'm concerned that I'll ruin it. 😢

If you prep it well, you won’t ruin it! It’s just paint! It can be redone a hundred times over if it’s done right. I hope you end up doing it, I love when family heirlooms get to exist in our space and make us happy just looking at them. Because they are beautiful and because they hold so many memories.

Everybody knows and I’m old that you may give into the husband for the living room, the den and maybe even the dining room but the kitchen and the master bedroom is decorated for the woman. Of course in my houses I’ve always enjoyed the darker colors and straight lines only so my house always look like a man designed it. Lolol

My husband always says I can do whatever I want wherever I want- now that’s just because he has no desire to decorate anything 😂 But I want him to feel comfortable in his space. Although, you may have a point with the selected rooms. Maybe one day I’ll dedicate a whole room to him and I won’t feel guilty for florals 😅
