I first bought this at age 17 after hearing the great GTB play it at Birmingham Town Hall. Now aged 80 I look back on all the very many times I have played this beautiful music on organs on 3 continents, including Westminster Abbey and it still gives me as much pleasure as it did all those years ago. I have listened to many recordings of this, but I particularly enjoyed Jonathan Kingston's playing, his registrations and the sympathetic way in which he negotiated the different 'moods' of this piece - lovely soft sections, with very nice crescendos in overall sound as the piece progressed. An artist at work, Thank you.

Sensitive and musical ... thank you ... loved the use of the 32' at the end.

This was wonderful to listen to. This was played at my grandfather's funeral, and I like to listen to this piece every now and then.
