The 240 series locomotive (until 1987 S 499.0) is an electric locomotive for alternating current intended for passenger and freight transport. It is structurally connected to the older series 230 (S 489.0), while the maximum speed was increased to 120 km / h and further modifications were made. It was manufactured by the Pilsen company Škoda in the years 1968-1970 under the brand name Škoda 47E
After 1967, in connection with the continuing electrification of the 25 kV 50 Hz power supply system, there was a need for additional new locomotives following the previous 230 series. The new series, marked as S 499.0, was produced in the following two years in the number of 120 pieces and the machines were assigned to depots in Bratislava, Brno and Pilsen. The machines soon found application on the entire network with an AC power supply system in Czechoslovakia and significantly expanded the CSD locomotive park. In 1970, the two new locomotives S 499.0069 and 0070 were modified for a speed of 140 km / h, redesignated the S 499.1 series, and according to their design, Škoda immediately began supplying a series of 25 pieces. Soon after their commissioning, however, it turned out that the locomotives had nowhere to reach this speed, and after 1978 they were rebuilt back to a lower value. They were marked as S 499.0121-045 and serve in this form in Slovakia to this day.

Paráda, od kuď jsou ty zvuky z té vysílačky, nějaké video ?

Neměly by jít slyšet pneumatické přepínaní odboček trafa podobně jako při odřazovaní odporů? Ptám se, v revíru Laminátek nejsem již dlouho a na našich odporovkách 127 ten zvuk nepřeslechnutelný
