Hey stutter effects are done with the Elektron Octatrack

How come many of these options are missing from the Analog 4 MKII model? I setup CV for use with my Make Noise 0-coast and it was confusing.

Absolutely great tutorial , was looking for something like this as I’m starting with modular(very newbie indeed) and want to use my analog keys to control it, so in that case: 1.- can I worry only about sound generating modules and maybe effects more than sequencers, clock dividers (don’t even know what they are...) etc? 2.- is it possible to use all the sequencing capabilities of the AK i.e. parameter locks, trig conditions? Any comment or advice truly appreciated ! 👍

Hey chatolars, 1) From what I gather, you are asking what starting modules you should begin with in order to have a working setup with your Analog Keys. This depends on what you goals are of course but your general inclination is correct. Since the Analog keys provides A) an internal sequencer which handles commands over time and B) functions in the form of oscillation/ envelopes/ Random value generation/ clock pulses/ etc... you can start with modules that these parameters can control. At a minimum, I would consider grabbing an oscillator and an VCA (voltage controlled attenuator), for the AK can provide all the other commands necessary to do a variety of tasks. As for a general tip for someone new to the modular world, I would also recommend a utility module like Make Noise Maths which will unlock a lot of potential capabilities and nuance for your system. After this some effects wouldn't hurt either. 2) Yes :)

Panoptes Sound Works Panoptes Sound Works man thank you so much. Really...for taking the time. In terms of effects I pretend to get the “Harvestam black locust” so I can use my “all analog/boutique/super expensive” guitar pedalboard with the modular, so that’s covered. Regarding the AK I pretend to use it only for sequencing the modular. I pretend to start with sound generating modules of course and hopefully it will grow on time. Interesting you mention Maths ....heard A LOT about this unit...still don’t know why it’s so useful. Thanks a lot again Cheers

Lars you can p lock stuff - let’s say you were using the linear cv out to open a filter - you can p lock the filter with different modulation settings.
