Hey, thanks for the time you put into this. Very helpful. Question: If using "Per Track" pattern scale (for polymetric purposes) and also applying Master Length to INF (to make sure tracks do NOT reset), how do you tell the OT to change patterns? Should the option (under Chain Behaviour) be set to: Use Project Settings UNCHECKED and have Use Pattern Setting set to a number of steps?

Very nice showing off the fttes. I really would like to see some of the ambient stuff you have mentioned. Really considering OCT to play with my ambient loops I have prepared on DT/A4. Even part of me is on DAW and Push, the live feel and really fun is oushing the buttons, not the mouse. Side question - don't you feel that Octatrack UI and the way things are done is a bit outdated - the way DT has streamlined some of the ways doing stuff? For example the timing signatures. Yes, sampling/stretching limited on DT but still not sure MK II did anything new in the way of doing things. Its still the same in respect to the MKI. But its soon 2018 and DT is much faster and straightforward . . Cheers.

Mike _72 yes the Digitakt is more immediate and easier to use, I like the workflow on the Digitakt. But the OT can do a lot more, and when there are more features it gets more complicated. I agree that it could be streamlined and maybe they should have done that with the mk2 but then it might not have been backwards compatible with the mk1. You can totally use the Octatrack for ambient music, it's a sampler so you can use it however you like
