@@Nolan14235 Renaming Slice to Grid says to me it will not be implemented. Grid implies a fixed grid based slice system. While Slice machine would imply a more flexible slice where ever you want based system. We'll see.

What is superb is that as a owner of syntakt (wanting to add the takt) i learned things here and there because it's also present in thge syntakt (one i was so happy to know i could do , and i tried was the Scale when pushing the knob on trig page !!! another was the keyboard mod while in step record mod !!)

It’s just a minor change but I would love it if when you have selected a scale in the keyboard menu, the default mode for note selection on triggers is quantised to the scale. Then chromatic is accessed by pressing down the encoder whilst turning. If you have already chosen a scale for the track this makes the most sense to me (and makes fast melody generation even more streamlined)

awesome video guys. since we can now latch an encoder to the selected scale, i think a logical addition would be to be to allow end user to point an LFO at the latched encoder so that it modulates to notes only within the selected scale. depth would control range of octaves. combined with re-trig this would solve some of my arp woes. pretty please?

Midi BLE would have been nice as would have been a 2nd USB-C port instead of just USB-B. The keyboard button and function button should have been swapped with the keyboard button on top. Just some minor design things. Other than that I think a shit ton of software updates are prone to happen.

Sup Elektron fam. Burning question.. If I have a 16 step sample and I punch in a (trig-less trig) reverse at step 9 to finish off the bar.. but I mute it at step 14 before a new bar, why does it continue to play out in reverse? How do I stop this? I tried to punch in 0 velocity at step 16 but it seems if I mute the track it doesn't continue to read the sequencer. Please help if anyone understands my question lol. thanks. loving my new Digitakt II btw.

Depends on what you are looking to do. I would get the OG Digitakt if you are just supporting what you’re making on the Mpc one. The DG II biggest benefit is that its stereo and has 16 tracks and now you can purchase a digitakt 1 for like $400 so if you are trying to do experimental one shots I’d get the first one. Honestly it’s not that revolutionary and any daw still blows it out of the water.

Just lock each step to a different start/end then resample the loop, bam, custom slices. It's not perfect but it's ridiculously easy
