Element Ecto 1 Crawler

In this video we review this custom Element Ecto 1. This Ecto has been upgraded with multiple upgrades that we test and review on the scales, incline table, and finally the rocks. I did a custom Ecto Body in a ghostbuster paint scheme with details like the lights and wheels to match the 1/1 original car. This build was a lot fun and something I had planned for a while. I have one of those. I am putting it in my SCX10 Pro. I also wanted to try the 1800 out. It came in the same time I was building this rig. It performs very well. But I do agree that the pro performs better at low speed.

Just accepted you into RC Content Creators! I was already subbed, but this video caught my eye. Such a nice build. That body is so....creamy lol. Beautiful. I have a pretty heavily upgraded Gatekeeper kit that I stalled on at soldering the esc/motor because I haven't soldered anything in my life. This video makes me want to get going on it! What a nice rig you built!

5:49 Ehm... 59 gegree (?!?) incline... 🤭

No 60-degree incline. With a nice amount of ground clearance. You can drag the belly to get more, but then you start losing your clearance. It's a give and take. Great setup for jagged comp course.

I’m really on the fence about buying an ecto as I’m a huge Traxxas guy but I love the Ecto platform I just don’t know much about it to be honest. It looked like it had great performance but I still need some convincing lol

If you ever go to a rock crawling comp you will see lots of Ecto's there. Why? Because they are absolutely one of the best crawler platforms out there. Transmission and longer wheel base are top notch. I have almost every brand RC crawler. I like my traxxas rigs. But they do not crawl anywhere close to this rig. Good luck with your decision.

What rate spring do you run in your front end?

@@hyperc5249 no springs outside, droop style. With medium internal springs long travel scx24 inside and none on the back. I hope that make sense lol
