Nightforce Atacr 7-35 mil-xt ret. For me, the NF and the Element are within $100 of each other, so with that in mind as far as glass quality what is your opinion between the 2 scopes? I do like some of the Element's features over the NF. @@utahpewpew

Thanks Boyd. I wish I researched this a little more before I picked up my second Nexus. I struggled on the 100 yard bench with only 20 power on the Nexus. Also, what are those red trays hanging in the background?

Try the Athlon Ares BTR Gen 2 4.5-27x50 currently on sale for under $600 delivered. You'll be pleasantly surprised how much better it is compared to the Nexus for such little money. If you end up not liking it there's free returns within 90 days so it's totally risk free to try. Image quality is clearer than the Nexus and tracking is dead nuts accurate and has even more total elevation travel and is lighter weight too by comparison. I'd put it up against many much higher priced Japan made scopes such as the Trijicon Tenmile, Delta Stryker, Sightron SIII, and the Zeiss V4 and Element Optics Nexus. I think it would even give the new Nexus Gen 2 a really good run for it's money as well. Only negative is they didn't include any lens covers nor sunshade which must be purchased separately. If you've ever owned a Midas Tac 6-24x50, which is pretty close optically compared to the Nexus, the Ares BTR Gen 2 is even clearer than that. I replaced all of my Tract Toric 4-20x50's with these Athlon Ares BTR Gen 2 scopes which were an improvement.

I can pick this scope up me in box for under 2k. Is it worth it over Gen 3 Vortex or say MK5 or S3 Zeiss.
@utahpewpew16 күн бұрын
I don’t have any experience with the zeiss but I’d say it’s comparable to the other 2
@commonsense5709 Жыл бұрын
I've decided to buy one next time I see them again on sale for under $2000 to compare it with the new $2450 black Vortex Razor Gen 3 and Sightron SVIII 5-40x56 for around the same price and prefer lighter weight scopes and tool less adjustable zero stop come on let's go!!!

DISCONTINUED by the manufacturer according to Optics Planet website. Is Element Optics shutting down and no longer honoring their platinum lifetime warranty? What about all the other Theos customers who also need warranty replacements for their defective Theos scopes?
@pisserny10 ай бұрын
Its not Discontinued, optics planet worded that wrong on there website. They were not available from current importer so it was discontinued from them as importer. The new importer has them in stock and optics planet has not updated system. Warranty is still the same

Try a Zeiss lrp s3
@commonsense5709 Жыл бұрын
Careful, they had a bit of teething issues requiring them to be sent in for warranty and in several cases more than once or twice and even three times within a year. Great if you get a good one but why take the risk when even the replacements may not be up to Zeiss standards?
@Lethal_Intent3 ай бұрын
Had the zeiss s3 sold it as it was worse in almost every category when i compared and shot side by side to the theos.
@StephanOosthuizen4 ай бұрын
How arrogant to call this scope God (theos). And claim it to be seated on the throne on their website. As a Christian I will boycott Element optics because there is only one God and Creator of all things.

Waste of money putting a 1000+ yard scope on a bb gun. It's way overkill. Those are designed for long range center fire rifles.

Those “bb guns” won me over $25k in prize money last year but you do you boo 😘

@@utahpewpew So? You're still putting a center fire scope on a bb gun. When was the last time you shot 200? 500? 1000 yds? Oh. Right. Never. But you do you boo😘

@@0QualityOverQuantity Few problems with that. It sounds like you don't understand what parallax is. It's not just "focus". Look up floating reticle, that'll tell you what it is and why. Second, most scopes adjust down to 25, not 10. I haven't even seen 7. Shooting at 50 and 1500 are the same idea, NOT the same skill set. Not even close. A 3x9 can print 1/2 moa at 50yds for a tenth of the price as the theos. You do realize this is a $2800 dollar scope made for centerfire rifles right? It's not designed for a bb gun. You're just wasting money.
