They say that elements don’t mix in almost all the trailers I’ve seen, but I feel it applies mostly when fire tries to mix with any other element. I mean, Wade can’t eat the hot food, Ember can’t touch water without hurting herself, Ember can’t touch anybody else without hurting the other person. When we see any other element trying to mix, the outcome isn’t as drastic, like when water mixes with earth, it usually benefits the earth person rather than hurt them. I think Ember was taught at a very young age that ‘elements do not mix’ repeatedly so she doesn’t hurt herself or anyone else in the future.
