After playing basketball for years, I’m now focusing on become a coach. In fact, I’m interviewing for the job within the hour. If hired, I’ll be coaching with zero experience. With that in mind, I desperately need to study as much as possible before I feel capable of being a head coach. This video was the first one I came across, and I just wanted to thank you for posting this. So much great information! I love your attention to detail on every single play. If I land that coaching position, I’ll have to give you a shoutout. A moments away from this interview with my nerves at a 10, this 12 minute video honestly made me feel completely ready for thins interviewing. Thanks again!

How refreshing it was to see this video. I have looked and looked for drills for my little youth team & these really helped. So many of the other videos aren't done too well. I'll have to tweak them for their age group but the video was to the point & no wasted time showing the drills. For anybody making videos this is how it's done. Thank you guys for making this and in the manner in which you made it. EXCELLENT! I just wish people would post more drills for like 6 and 7 year olds on here.

The Cincinnati base offense is referred to as being "for 3rd through 5th grade." How well would it work for older kids (say 8th grade)? What would you recommend instead as a base offense for 8th graders?

In the inbound plays the passer should "get in the game" immediately after passing instead of standing out of bounds like in many of your drills. It's best to go to the offside to get a rebound.

On the 4on4 shell drill, you shouldn't do what the defense did. You should always stay between your man and the basket. What if one of the guys down low made a cut around their guy, got the moving pass, and made the simple layup?

Coach, when teaching one pass away never swivel your head. You cannot take you eye off the ball or your man. You must see both in your peripheral vision. If you do not, when you are looking at the ball, your man cuts. If you are looking at your man, you cannot help.

@kellyross42216 жыл бұрын
The first one is not really a triple threat. When you are doing a triple threat you should jump a little before you catch the ball so you can pivot with either foot.
