In regards to side focus (parallax) adjustment, you can usually clamp on a larger wheel to the knob to get more precise adjustment. I know march is one that offers multiple sizes for theirs. Kahles has a top mounted focus. I'd personally like a bottom mounted one given that it's free real is real estate for more rifles. It also wouldn't block any offset or top mounted red dot sights.

Does objective lens size affect DOF? x44 vs say x50 or x56, would x56 need a parallax adjustment and x44 would not need one?

I’m using Helix for 22lr precision shooting, however I’ve got few questions: 1) What units are used on Element Optics scopes for parallax adjustment? Is it the same unit (meters or yards) on mrad (metric) and moa (imperial) scopes? 2) What’s the proper adjustment method? Should I turn a parallax knob to a limit? To the bottom or to the top? 3) If distance is known should I use diopter for adjusting perfect picture after I’ve adjusted parallax to known distance? Please explain basing on example of using ELEMENT OPTICS HELIX 6-24X50 APR-1C SFP MRAD on a 50 meters target

Helix etc have a side parallax. The best way is to focus your reticle (not the back ground) against a white surface or the sky. Set that an forget.. then at 50y or what ever distance you are shooting. Move the parallax to 50. (Doesn't matter if M or yard) this will get you close.. then get very comfortable behind your rifle and slowly and carefully move your eye side to side and up and down a bit. The reticle shouldn't float or move across the target at all. If it moves when you are sure you aren't moving the rifle as well . Adjust the parallax slowly up or down until the reticle is still even when you move your eye. If your target isn't in focus then you could make fine adjustments of the diopter but I've never needed too. I hope this makes sense.

The units are generally set to m on MRAD models and yds on MOA models. You should only set your diopter once (for your eye) and then use the parallax dial to focus the image. The engraved numbers on the parallax are not meant to be extremely precise, you should always be looking through the scope when you fine tune the parallax

@@AirArmsHuntingSA The picture at 1:15, when turning the parallax I thought you moved the focus of the target (the deer) into the reticle, on the picture it looks like you are moving the reticle? You describe this right after, but I find the picture att 1:15 little bit confusing, maybe I’m just dumb.
