The dashboard is awesome!! A suggestion though....in my opinion, it would be great if the dashboard intro has an option to fetch member profile types dynamically. Such that if its a student, it reads "welcome to your student dashboard... If its a teacher, it reads "welcome to your teacher dashboard.

ILOVE the general direction this is taking. I would like to be able to apply BuddyBoss elements as shortcodes. For example...If I had a shortcode for messages (with some parameters for controlling how many messages appear) I would put that shortcode in Elementor block. By doing this, I really would be able to build different dashboards for different types of users.

In the Dashboard Grid you skipped over how to add the link. How do you link to a user's courses/social groups, etc. It would be something like example.com/members/[username]/groups. I can't figure out how to generate the dynamic URL to go to someone's groups, courses, and activity feed. Thanks for any insight!

You might consider adding the URL links that go in the dashboard widget with its icons (Courses - Discussions - Social Groups - Activity) in the notes below the video, or at least in the description in the help page within the Knowledgebase (www.buddyboss.com/resources/docs/integrations/elementor-pro/elementor-member-dashboard/) Other than this issue, I've found the BuddyBoss tutorials and accessibility to help docs extremely thorough and useful. @@AmorFatiYT Hi Max, I ended up building my dashboard from scratch using the Elementor Buddy boss elements/widgets . Interestingly the BuddyBoss Themes / Templates started to show up after an update, but now they have disappeared again. It seems to me that when one does an update it can impact the other, until the other fixes the issue. The latest release of Elementor seems to have impacted the BB Templates option this time around.

What's the advantage of a dashboard vs the user profile? Can it replace the user profile link? I'm just wondering. To me it seems like this could be a great way to create a custom profile for users to use vs the default one.

BuddyBoss previously did not have a member dashboard. It has member profiles, but not a specific dashboard overview page like this. And, please know that this dashboard is not replacing the built-in user profile in the platform.

Sorry, but the Profile Completion widget is completely unusable if you have a single optional filed you've created for users. For example, if you create a field for salutation (Dr., Mr, Ms, Mrs) and don't require a response, a response will still be required to get the Profile Completion widget to 100% and get it to disappear. Any optional fields without a choice result in the widget being incomplete. There are two ways to fix this: have a checkbox to Exclude all optional fields, or for each custom field a checkbox to indicate whether it counts in the Profile Completion calculation. This is a fabulous feature and I wish I could use it, but no way will I leave it up at less than 100% forever for users that don't complete EVERY optional field. [I have requested this feature directly from BBsupport]

Also, logic that says "If user has a gravatar image, photo is complete". Otherwise, to get rid of the profile completion display, a user with a perfectly good gravatar image would have to think to upload a photo. Until then it will consider the profile incomplete.

Hi Jay, try to clear your browser cookies and cache, and server cache first. It is possible that there is a conflicting plugin issue. Please deactivate all other plugins except for the BuddyBoss Platform and Platform Pro. If this solves the issue, activate them one by one to find out which one was creating a conflict. Hi, awesome dashboard!! now, here is what I'd like to do... We are just starting to setting up our academy with BB + Learndash + Memberium, all ok so far for the "student" user level, but we'd like to sell our courses in a B2B way also, I mean, from 10 to 20 students per company, that would require an company "admin" user, that can manage the memberships of it's employees, can view and track the progress of all the courses assigned to it's employees for example, and of course, have it's own dashboard. Hi Soflo, You must have the Elementor page builder plugin and the LearnDash LMS plugin, installed and activated on your website to use and configure these widgets. If you dont have LearnDash you can still add these widgets but you need to manually add them one by one. Question re your new APP: how does this ELEMENTOR stuff tie into the APP version (or not)? Since I saw you mention elsewhere that there are limitations to that and only GUTENBERG can be pulled in (or better: “translated”?) “as is” into the app, correct? What do you recommend there as best practice? Haven’t built my BB site yet (still on Social Learner) so should I only use Gutenberg and not Elementor to avoid APP limitations with E?? (Also using Learndash...)

Elementor does not really make a lot of sense in an app. But you can continue to use Elementor for the web for sales pages and Dashboard and other theme customizations. In the app we have special App Pages you can use to build app content, in Gutenberg, that only appear in the app. The app is using APIs to pull all content and Elementor does not work that way, Gutenberg is able to be translated into APIs that can send data to be presented in native app layouts. So we recommend using App Pages with Gutenberg in the app, for web you can do whatever you want. Same for LearnDash, if you use supported Gutenberg blocks they can display native in the app and work offline, but if you want to use Elementor within LearnDash content you can use the App Editor to override that content within the app with Gutenberg block content just for the app.

By clicking the update button will published the Member Dashboard page that you built from Elementor and you can add this as a menu in your Titlebar menu, BuddyPanel menu or Profile Dropdown for navigation purposes.

Hi Fernando, you can set a page to default by going to the WordPress dashboard >> Settings >> Reading. Under Your homepage displays, select the A static page (select below) radio button and assign a page on the Homepage. Then Save Changes.

@@ocastaned Hi bro, i was facing the same problem for a lot of time, but i just found the solution minutes ago, you can redirect people who login directly to any page on your website, in you case it will be the dashboard page, as far as i know you can do that using plugin called "peter's login redirect" hope this will help. the problem with me now is when i install the BuddyBoss plugin the section BuddyBoss doesn't show.

I was hoping it is for buddypannel settings! is there an option to keep the buddypanel closed until the user choose to open it again (by clicking on the hamburger icon of the pannel) .. for now, it keeps getting opened again each time you refresh the page or visit an other one which is annoying from a UX perspective. thank you again

Go to your WP Dashboard > BuddyBoss > Theme Options > BuddyPanel --- Make your BuddyPanel Default State to Closed

@@BuddybossWP their is no such option like that, only "buddypannel position left or right" !!! .... i don't see anything else.... i have the last version of buddyboss theme 1.8.1

If you are using the 3rd header styling, by default, the only option on the BuddyPanel position is set to left alignment. The BuddyPanel Default State and BuddyPanel navigation option is available on the 1st and 2nd header style.

@@BuddybossWP I mean that I want to change Admin Name and email, not a translation. For example, my current admin name and email are John and [e-mail], but I want to change it to Stev and [e-mail]. Last time, I can change it, but later I don't know why; or maybe I have disabled any options anywhere.

Hi Veasna, you can got the WordPress dashboard and click on Users >> All Users. Find the admin user you want to update then click on Edit. On the Profile page, update the details and click on Update Profile to save.

Is the hover details on the Profile Completion widget coming from somewhere else? I don't see it in the template that was released today

That is coming from today's Theme release. It is not part of the normal WordPress widget we had from before, it is specific to the new Elementor profile completion widget which is included in the theme update.

I am keen to change over to BuddyBoss. I like the dashboard but find that badges are missing. Is it possible to show the badges (points, achievements and ranks) in the dashboard? Also, can the badge size be sized bigger e.g. at least 60 pixels high? thanks.

You will need to a GamiPress plugin for this. Then, Elementor has an option to add/place GamiPress widgets/shortcode. For sizes, you can also do this within Elementor.

If you are referring to the toolbar, yes, just go to your WP Dashboard > BuddyBoss > Settings > General > under General Settings, you will see Toolbar.

Can students have a personal/private blog that can only be seen by teachers or invited people? And could it be displayed at the top next to courses, forum and groups for handy access? I am creating art based courses that needs to be checked by looking at student portfolio for feedback. And is there a an option to submit video feedback without leaving site and using email? Before i buy all these plugins, I need to know if any of this is doable. Thanks

The BuddyBoss Platform itself doesn't have this option yet to allow users (students) to have their own blog. You may try this plugin which may help you achieve it: www.buddyboss.com/integrations/buddypress-user-blog/ For the option to submit video feedback, you may try other 3rd party plugins in the WordPress repository for this purpose.

This Elementor Member dashboard is not replacing the built-in user profile of the platform. What you can do you should you want users to redirect to the Dashboard instead of Profile Page is by using redirection plugin or via your membership plugins (if you have).
