Thank you for this tutorial. I recently took on the task of voluntarily maintaining the web site of a small nonprofit organization. The web site is primarily information for the organization’s members. My predecessor designed the site and was very knowledgeable about Elementor and Wordpress. Most of what I know I have learned as I go along. Many of the tutorials that I have looked at are way over my head and are for far more complex web sites than the one that I am working with. i was just thinking about this..wondering if "real" developers use tools like wordpress to build websites. im a designer first, but have clients whos sites i build and manage. I started with squarespace, then webflow, and now i'm digging into wordpress. I could never build a site from scratch, but then I was wondering, why would anybody chose to do that when there's tool like this? i would assume it may be cheaper? but is that even cost effective? i guess if you're doing something extraordinary, but even then can't you add custom code if needed? i found webflow to be so flexible, I haven't yet run into anything I could recreate from my original design. i cannot say the same for squarespace and i'm getting the impression that wordpress is more similar to squarespace than it is webflow..is that true?

@@anon5660 Not at all... wordpress can do anything without limitations, and most websites you see are built on it. Are you really asking about elementor? There would be more limits technically, but you can still do pretty much anything with it too.

1:13:00 If you look at the style tab next to color you can see the checkerboard pattern is showing to the right of the word color. You would need to uncheck that in the color setting.

Thanks for this great tutorial! Very thorough and taught at a nice pace. After watching it, I really felt confident I could do this. Once I installed Elementor, I noticed that I only have access to 2 templates, so I chose a similar one to yours and got started; however, the first step....click on Site Settings then Header.....there is no Header or Footer access. I cannot find out to edit/modify the header at all. I feel like they've taken a lot out of the free version and put it in the pay versions. At every step and at most of the places I click, it asks me to Upgrade. Has a lot been taken away or am I doing something wrong?

What do you mean? It's free? you can click X at the top right when they ask you to pay and you'll get the free version

@dvrk6140 there wasn't an X on my screen. It literally just sends you to an immediate pay wall. There is no way of clicking off of it, no way to get around it. The tutorial is cut, so he jumps from one screen to another without even stating how he got there. I eventually found the page he used on Google, but following the tutorial further proved to require bank details every time.

Hey Wes, what is the difference between wordpress website builder and wordpress elementor plugin because I'm learning how to build and sell websites and I know with the plugin you have to pay like $300 to be able to build unlimited sites? And, i think with wordpress elementor website builder you can use that for free outside of hosting costs which should be cheaper than $300 for the plugin.
