I have a green one on the way. Looking forward to receiving it. I honestly would prefer a quick release blade even if it allows less usable length because I'm used to flipping the blades around to use the second half. It's also nice to not have to have a tool nearby to switch it.

Same, I have a green one on the way too.

One advantage of the exposed blade is running along a straight edge with the blade laying flatter than a conventional utility knife.

Would have been cool if you could have included some sort of small torx tool. Like an allen wrench back spacer so you can easily field swap the blade

I have one and love it. The T8 screw for blade changes is perfectly fine to get a no rattle blade with most of it exposed. I bought an oknife key bit that I keep in the carry pouch that came with the knife along with spare blades. I see no problem at all, you have to keep spare blades some where so just keep a T8 bit and driver with them. Also you only have to loosen the screw 1/2 a turn, you don’t need to remove it. I keep the T8 bit in the driver end ready to go, and there’s 7 other bits there to use as well.

I've never been so exited to buy a freaking box cutter. CIVIVI you understand me ☺

Been waiting for this when I saw the prototype, but the need for a tool to change the blade was criticized on the prototype and Civivi completely ignored it. Should have used a thumb screw.

I’ve got one and I love the exposed blade especially for following a straight edge. And it’s very light in a pocket.

I’d love to see different handle materials if these really take off. I’d definitely buy a g10 version.

Blue one on the way. I prefer whichever securing system has the lowest profile (T8).... Unless you make the securing system the thumb-stud, in which case it could be knurled.

Would have preferred the knurled locking wheel vs the t8 . ( im hoping it fits.) A green one is in route now .

YAY! 👍😎👍 Would prefer g10 or carbon fiber overlay. Aluminum handles get pretty crappy looking with use…

I was thinking I'm gonna roast that and stay with oknife but taking the office point I think it's fair to consider.

If you would have included a small torx tool that slides in the back like how the tweezers and toothpick does on the sendy it would have been perfect but I have to swap blades at work all the time so I don't know about this for me.

I love the design, but I would want a thumb stud screw for the blade change. Hopefully an addiction in the future!
@Greg-tj8rg5 ай бұрын
Love the design of this utility knife. But the screw loosens on you when you open it causing the blade to deploy on it's own if you aren't careful. If you can address that issue, change the t6 to a flat head and get it to the sub $30 range (35 msrp or something) then it'd be a buy for me. As it is now, I'd take the oknife otacle u1 over this but this has more left handed friendly considerations. Please release a V2 of this addressing the issues I'd listed.

Just got mine in. If I could change the blades without a separate tool, it’d be perfect
@allosaurusfragilis77824 ай бұрын
You could probably change that screw for a knurled one which you could hand tighten. Get the feeling these will sell.

Would be cool to have a little t8 bit/key hidden in the handle to help with switching out the blade on the go.
@geraldroberts47216 ай бұрын
Nice knife, I'll probably order one but disappointed as a bastard at a father/son picnic with the broken promise of a tooless blade change. Civivi could've included a knurled finger screw instead of the T8, in the same spot. Just a matter of time before someone offers one in the aftermarket world, just ask the Gerber EAB.

Cool, but I'd have to agree with a few other comments and a feild swappable blade would make it a bit more practical. Still a beautiful utility knife, but I'll stick with my Milwaukee button lock as my day to day use knife.

It's stupid to have to use a T8 to swap the blade. Just get a Milw. Fastback.
