I used to use radial blur a lot, now I mainly use gaussian blur, but for the same thing. I'd add it at the start of the clip and make it last for the length of the crossfade, or a bit longer so that it's noticeable but not too much, and fade it out at the end (and maybe change the angle a bit too on the way) so that it kinda creates a transition. I think I did that in the Lily/Rufus Where We Belong video. It's all cos I don't have the NewBlue FX, gotta think of something new xD

Thank you so much! :D That effect is called "Rays" (just the Rays, not Light rays which is very different) in my Vegas, it uses the light that is already in the scene and you can make it stronger/lighter. So if the scene is dark then it doesn't work, but anything with lamps, or daylight coming through a window works nicely;)

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh I loved it. Great use of the alley conversation as a framing device, and I always love it when vids use dialogue as voice-over. This was a really great examination of the drama and intimacy in their relationship.

If you mean your keyframes disappeared then you can easily get them back by clicking or dragging something in the fx window, down where they used to be. I can't be more specific cos mine looks different these days but other vidders have mentioned in the past that their keyframes went missing and it turned out they had accidentally hidden them. Just in case you need the option;)

I completely agree with you, I watched s3 (cause I had big hopes for Damon/Elena) but I didn't really enjoyed the season. Season four, blah, just the same. I did like the pilot and the second episode but in the end I just stopped watching... I watch some episodes every now and then (like this one or the one were elena burns her house) but pretty much given up on the show. Yeah, whatever. I've been using Gaussian Blur since before I had NewBlue FX. Ever since installing Sony Vegas on this other computer of my dad's (since my laptop broke) I don't have the ability to make it go from not-blurred to blurred (or vice versa) over the course of the clip playing. My effects are just on the whole clip and idk where that option went. :P Lol.

Cool! I don't have "Rays" in the Video FX choices (my only R is Radial Blur) - I do have Light Rays though lol. Well that's what I get for only sticking with my Sony Vegas Platinum. ;) But I also have plenty of effects, such as Light Rays and Radial Blur, that I never use haha... if I was really that desperate to try new things I'd try to put those to good use I suppose. :D
