She is fantastic, and has that "it" factor that you see in future champions. I think she's the best Russian skater I've ever seen, even better than Irina Slutskaya in terms of artistry and technique, even at her age now. Hopefully she will maintain the same general body proportions as she matures. I believe she will, because her arms and legs are long, and that doesn't change with age, but her torso deveopment (butt, breasts) is more difficult to predict. I also think she resembles the Russian tennis player Elena Vesnina, especially her face.

Krishna0666 Yes, she's very good, but I still think Radionova is going to be better. I think Lipnitskaya was a bit overscored honsetly, at least in the team competition long program. No way was she 12 points better than Gracie Gold, in my opinion. But she's very good, and may just upset the favorites if they don't skate their best in the individual event.

she'll be the best. once she improves a bit on her transitions and control. julia is relying on being a flexible child for years to come. whereas this girl has better power, speed, jumps, footwork and emotional interpretation- they'll only improve as she matures into an adult. i like that she's not trying to win on the cute factor- given she'll be competing with 20+ year olds.

Radionova is the one gal who was in fact having growth spurt issues--weight gain, body control, etc. I believe she would have been old enough to compete in the Olympics, but those issues plagued her so that she could not perform well enough to do so. It is unfortunate that your body can create such havoc at the worst possible time. Not only that, when you are so intent on being as perfect as possible, it also affects your self confidence, sometimes irreparably. I hope we can see her again when she can gain mental control of her becoming a young woman.

I disagree about your claim, she looks to be coping just fine with any growth spurt issue she's had, as far as I've seen from this season. If anything she skates and jumps with more power than last year.
