What is Ib’s Rose?

It comes from a horror game called Ib. Ib is also the protagonist's name. In the game she will get a red rose that represents her health, which has five petals. If all of the petals are gone, she will die and the game ends. Most hazards deal one petal damage to her, while few of them deal two petal damage or kill her instantly. There's also a blue rose, which is own by the deuteragonist of the game called Garry, it has ten petals in the original, but it seems to reduced to seven in the remake.
