Very changed from the anxious performances of several years ago. I wonder if she is being coached by a different person who understands her, likes her, and she likes as well. Her Aegina is phenomenal and I was pleasantly surprised by her Giselle. There’s a suppleness to the movements, a rippling flow. It makes the steps seem effortless. You almost forget that this is, in fact, the result of hard work. She’s constantly improving.

i love how the russians look strong again--during the '90s and early '00s it was like they were going for fragile, bendy, stick insects with insane extensions. their legs are properly muscled now and the pointe is strong again. fantastic.

I have to say, this is definitely the best newcomer Prima Ballerina that I’ve seen yet far. It’s so refreshing to see a dancer actually dance on music. Frankly I don’t remember the last time I’ve seen such gorgeous musicality coupled with a fantastically soft-handed port de bras. I will definitely keep an eye on her now. From what I’ve seen I like her better than Osipova overall. She doesn’t seem to have high extensions, even lower than Osipova but see, this just proves that you don’t need high extensions or high jumps in most roles. Musicality and port de bras are the KEY to superior ballet.

Очень хорошая подборка. И хочется сказать: браво, браво, бис. Когда на балерину хочется смотреть и смотреть бесконечно, когда танец балерины вызывает восхищение и наслаждение, и только положительные эмоции - это и есть прима-балерина. А, если к этому прибавить и красоту природную - это вообще блеск. Одно её появление на сцене уже вызывает бурю эмоций и овацию зрителей. Людей не проведёшь, а недруги есть у каждого. Всем мил не будешь, найдут к чему придраться. За 5 лет балерина танцует почти весь классический репертуар. Большая труженица и умница. Элечка! Только вперёд, и радуй почитателей своего таланта. The 👁 first thing I notice about the ravishing Sevenard is her beauty. She is as beautiful as any historical Hollywood stars like Gina Lollobrigida, Rita Hayworth, and Audrey Hepburn. Her commanding stage presence is the bread and butter of dance. What makes her special is the ability and fearless fact of wanting and accomplishing to clean up the hiccups in her technique. Based on what I see here, that goal has been quite fruitful. Do I wish her piqué attitude turns in Giselle were slowly sustained breathlessly? Yes. Her chainees in Etudes with the shoulders and spotting more in academic forms? Yes. But those are just picky picky points by me that don't get in the way of the overall champion dancing. She creates an aura around her space and brings her audience to her own world of magic. There is a quality that I love and want in a ballerina, sumptuous sensual femininity. La Sevenard is certainly the most gifted in that. She reminds me not of past Russian greats but of Cynthia Gregory, Lynn Seymour, Sallie Wilson, MARGOT FONTEYN, Gelsey Kirkland , Allegra KENT and Carla FRACCI. La Sevenard moves organically, unfussy, and dares herself onstage. I love that about her. In closing, I wish Bolshoi would bring to her the Antony Tudor repertoire, Jardin aux Lilac, Pillar of Fire, and Agnes de Mille's Fall River LEGEND. La Sevenard is born for this repertoire. Yes, Sevenard's Prima Ballerina presence and styles qualify for the title. Magnificent post, B.Ballerina!!! Gracias!!!!

Thank you! How lovely! Are these performances in chronological order? In the earlier ones the only very minor improvement I may have wished for was more fluidity in her hands and arms. She is clearly a very conscientious and diligent ballerina that is always seeking to improve, because less than halfway through this compilation, I could find no flaws of tension or tightness. She is committed to technique and is also a true artist. Stunning!

I do appreciate the Bolshoi and its great dancers. My dance teacher was a legendary Bolshoi ballerina. Madam Anderson-Ivanzova. A former Imperial dancer. Although, living in America with our great American dancers. My taste preference is the American style. Less ornate and more dynamic. As an example; the New York City Ballet, Dance Theater of Harlem, American Ballet Theater, San Francisco Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet, Boston Ballet. We enjoy many great and diverse classical dance companies. Just saying. I need to mention some of our precious modern dance companies. Alvin Ailey, Martha Graham, The list is long and rich. I am very proud of our glorious artists. Very proud. Very thankful for their hard work.❤

Modern dance has it place but true classic, technical ballet is an amazing thing. The elegance and precision required is so much more intense than more loosely formed and expressive modern dance. They are two totally different things. I studied both and while I enjoyed modern dance, it isn’t nearly as demanding as a precision classical ballet. Every step, every movement is studied and has an exactly correct way. It’s comparing apples and oranges.

Pour moi qui regarde simplement, sans connaissance technique particulière s'entend, je trouve tout ça très beau , comme si c'était facile ! Elle passe d'un rôle à un autre avec égal bonheur ... mais je suis juste une passionnée de danse , pas un fin connaisseur.. Toutefois je dirais encore que quand c'est beau et juste , ça se voit ..

Eleonora is obviously one and only perfect ballerina of this generation. I don't wanna compare someone, but she's like Plisetskaya but for nowadays. She has so much power, passion, royalty. Really. I'm not talking about technique 'cause it's obviously perfect. She deserves not just the Prima, but the Legend status. That's what I think. One of the main qualities of an artist is to amaze, to inspire. And that's what she does. I've been in ballet for more than 10 years, I know what I'm talking about.
