Please my dear Kerala friend, by posting videos like these you are declaring that we are a kind of mad people. By being cruel to the animal we are exposing ourselves as devoid of human values. Where is the police? where is the vet with the tranquilizer gun? The mad people should be chained like what is done to the poor elephant and put behind bars. Crazy video, nothing to cheer about it!!

+Viswanathan Nair I agree, not one human considered offering water to the poor animal,the unceasing human noise and harassment would be like a human in a box of biting spiders. How is it that not one intelligent person took charge of the situation, to explain the correct response and behavior to calm the very disturbed creature?! Dogs growl and snarl when upset. Elephants bring ears front and forward flapping, tossing or swatting away the problem with their trunks, foreheads and tusks.Truly mad behavior to go closer to a creature swatting tree trunks just to agitate further - for what purpose? Every group must certainly contain one sensible human being with the capacity to lead fellow human beings in a crisis- we see this in earthquakes, fires, storms- but during attack from this part of mother natures planet....nothing to assist! I hope it teaches someone to act more responsibly in another time.
