Muito interessante em saber que uma mãe elefante, pode até matar o seu filhote. E graças a Deus esses homens estavam próximos dessa mãe elefante, para que ela pudesse dar a luz. they are tying the female to quickly separate the baby or else the mom will step on the first born baby and it will cause harm to its life and if the mom takes too long too give birth the baby will suffocate and die and in the video they were really worried at first because the long birth they were really relieved and were celebrating the birth of the baby and about tying the baby it wasn't simply just tuing it they were cleaning it and the baby cant stand properly (they worked together real hard for the babys safety the mom wasnt properly letting the baby out and that could've cause bad affection to the baby's tounge because she was squeezing it in) the mom elephant was still squeezing some parts in side out because she wast feeling ok yet they had to leave her like that untill she's done

The most HORRIFIC CRUELTY given to mother elephant trying to give birth while her front legs are chained up from 3 directions and men are holding her head with hooks! Then when the baby is born some idiots wrapped the baby’s neck and choked it trying to have it stand up ! Then the poor mother elephant is left neglected still chained up while still bleeding heavily and not allowed to bond with her baby WTF !!! Poor poor mum & baby !!! Pls read the description. It needs to be tied becuz she's a new mother. There's a huge possibility that she might kill her baby. The new mother doesn't know how much force she needs to wake the baby. She might crushed the baby if she use too much force. Also, in the wild, only few babies survive when elephants giving birth. @P C I completely agree with you. I hate to see any animal caged or in chains, it’s devastating. My response however was based on the fact that this elephant IS in chains, and the original comment was that while there were so many assisting the baby, there was nobody checking on the mother and ensuring that SHE was okay given she had just given birth, and also that she was not fretting over the fact that all these humans were surrounding and manhandling her baby. they actually did it correctly! she needed to be chained to make sure not to potentially kill one of the humans or the baby coming out of her! also, the elephants in the wild doing it by themselves is actually bad. sometimes the mother dies from not being able to push out the baby, that’s why they insisted on helping the elephant. andddd they wanted to make sure the baby AND the mother are safe and healthy, before AND after. that’s something that wouldn’t be accessible without all that help! (or in the wild)
