I'm not a drummer, but when I was a kid I bought a cheap kit and tried to learn. I struggled with basic beats, the idea of playing one thing with my hands and something different with my feet was something my brain couldn't process and yet I know there are tons of people out there that can do that easily. To watch you play a different beat for each limb and keep it all perfectly in sync is the most mind-boggling thing! You are an amazing drummer, your technique seems flawless, and you make it look effortless. Keep doing what you do, your raw talent is amazing and thanks for sharing it with us.

It makes sense. Probably reaches alot more people with English videos. Sure you have most of South America with Spanish...but pretty much all of Russia speaks fluent English, most of north America, half of Europe, and all of Australia. Manadarin might be another logical choice, but I'm not sure if there is a high demand for epic drumming in China. And yes....that groove is nasty! I love it.

The drummer for Henker has been doing this actually! He has 2 bass drums and 2 Sonor Giant Step pedals, in which the secondary beater is actuated with a floating heel plate. Crazy stuff!

Practice your capabilities first and most importantly, PRACTICE! LITERALLY just practice and you'll achieve things. Master a comfortable speed before going above comfortable levels. Set the left pedal so each beater is hitting a different thing (such as using an agogo but each beater hits the different tuned bells). It would also be a mission of complexity to try and get Herta patterns put of a single-double. Play bleed with foot, while doing extra accents (such as following the vocal line) with a snare on your left foot. Use the foot snare and hands for awesome fills. What about a pattern that is similar to your "hardest" pattern video, where you alternate the hats and kicks, but it alternates each pedal on/off of the doubles?

I remember hearing these types of crazy fast blast beats/double bass drums in a grind-core or whatever band called wecamewithbrokenteeth. they had programmed drums that were really outlandish and unplayable, with crazy fast bassdrum and blastbeats. i always thought that it would be impossible to play IRL, but now i'm thinking that drum track was 100% doable... You need 2 sonor giant step single double independent heel toe pedals. What the dualists lack is true instantaneous independence since you must burn off a beat to actively switch modes. I love the mindset youre on pushing boundaries. Im not talking sh**. Its all in love. Check out videos of the drummer from the band Henker who had a double dual pedal setup that is a superior mechanism hitting brrrrrr speeds nobody including you or the robot have touched yet. I saw Captured by Robots live when they toured with Nile and Terrorizor. That was a top notch show for someone who loves drums and innovators. Cheers dude. Keep putting out great drum videos please. Alright, I thought I could hear an actual note being produced at the end and the math actually adds up: Semiquavers at 400 bpm = 1600 notes per minute, divided by 60 seconds gives us approx. 26.6667 Hertz frequency, or just below the lowest note on a piano (A0). Holy shit. Additionally, the lowest pitch audible to humans tends to be around 20 hertz so this is not just scraping the bottom of the hearing range, this is actually insane.

*I could see, for certain song parts, to pan each bass drum hard left and hard right. With each kick panned hard left/right, if you engage the double beater mode on both pedals, and then do a standard double kick blast beat pattern, it would theoretically sound like two drummers playing in perfectly synchronized unison, each playing a set of standard double bass pedals on a single kick, with one drummer on the hard left, and the other on the hard right..., but actually performed by only one person... Imagine Slipknot with two Joey Jordisons..., or Slayer with two Dave Lombardos..., both playing in perfect unison, and with their kicks panned hard left/right...* 🤔? *I could also see two of these double pedals used on a Ginger Baker style asymmetrical High Kick/Low Kick setup, such as one on a standard 22" kick, and the other on a big Bonhamesque 26"...*

Definitely not the first person on KZbin to rock to dualists.. BUT.. definitely the first to actually make it sound good! I had one about 15 years ago and it was a nightmare to master, cant imagine how hard two would be.

Just kiddin’), but I just noticed that when you said that you added a second double pedal, a thought immediately appeared in my head - brilliant! Now all you have to do is "kick" one side with one small gap and then you will go crazy twice as fast! I don't foresee such spectacular results as you, El Estepario, but I already feel that I will have a lot of fun with the drums!

So, I was one of the likely many maniacs to suggest adding a second base drum with the duelist. But! I will now be one of the psychos to suggest two base drums with two tripple pedals. Until then, hearing what could be done to the break-down section of One by Metallica with the Four Horseman Riding Lightning quad pedal setup would be pretty sick.

I don't know what happened in the last 20 years but back in the day metal drummers used to do heel toe on a double bass pedal to get the quad sound. And also way back in the day they did not have triggers. Crazy

Can you try with two triple pedals? Also, do the peddles allow you to offset the second or third beat of a peddle differently from the other peddle to create some new and crazy?

You need to lock your foot to the pedals so you can pull up as well as push down; get rid of some of the spring tension. Oh, and add a 2 more beaters timed a bit off so you get two hits on the down and two on the up.

Here's a request. Morgan Sansous, drummer for Henker. Henker released an album in 2010 called Slave of My Art. He uses a Giant Step Quad Pedal, and I've never heard a human faster than this. The last 5 seconds of the track Mental Corruption is unbelievably quick. Give the first 3 tracks of the album a listen and take your pick. Wild stuff.

I talked about this with my friend the other day. there is another pedal that has two pedals (one in the frond and one in the heel section) and if we combine the Dualist and this one (can't remember its name) you can have a 4 pedal for each foot.

Ok, set up an identical kit then face it backwards. Align the 4 duelist pedals in a heel toe configuration . So you would do a heel toe flam right foot followed by a heel toe flam left foot. Then work out the double flam. Maybe not a speed modification. But if the 4 floor drums were different, then there would be a choice of 4 tones. Too crazy ? Of course ! You should collaborate with Charles Berthoud and Nino Bettencourt.

All I can say is WOW. My late father would have loved this. He was a drummer when he was younger. I thought that this was an awesome video.
