On the other hand like for a stringed instrument such as a guitar or Dobro (like I play), I can play pretty close to what I recorded on stage but I’m not sure that I ever played a song note for note as interpretation, mood, accents from band members maybe playing some other runs, licks, etc., that you feed off of & it can change exactly how you play it for that night. It’s ok. Drummers should work their single strokes up to this level. And a bit higher. Just to be safe. It takes some work. But it’s not impossible. Start slow and remain relaxed. He is so precise … the evenness is every hit is what makes it sound so insanely good. Plus the licks are fast as hell.

Thank you for playing this straight up! I think you are a fantastic drummer, but playing this how you did is extremely respectful to such a wonderful man that Taylor was. Thank you!

This song has massive sentimental value to me as I have it connected with memories of my late grandpa. Love your admiration for Taylor trying to play it as close as he used to. Amazing cover, thanks.

The thing I respect most about him is how much respect he has for other drummers. He knows when to just honor the piece. Well done as always!
