@carolinacontreras Here are the IFRA guidelines for a fragrance oil I used from the Nature's Garden website IFRA Guidelines MAXIMUM USE LEVEL CATEGORY 1: 0% CATEGORY 2: 1.1% CATEGORY 3: 1.1% CATEGORY 4: 5% CATEGORY 5: 4% CATEGORY 6: 0% CATEGORY 7: 3.9% CATEGORY 8: 4% CATEGORY 9: 5% CATEGORY 10: 14.9% CATEGORY 11: No Restriction Cat 4 is leave on and Cat 9 is wash off they are exactly the same. There is no universal percentage you can use for fragrance oil. Each fragrance has an attached document giving recommendations on usage rate. @@bettergrowth_ wouldn't a body oil be more a category 5 not category 4? Cat 5 is Products applied to the face and body using the hands (palms), primarily leave-on; Cat 4 is Products related to fine fragrance, which I think would be a spray type product.

Well, There isn’t a category for body oil exactly. There is a 1% difference in categories 4 & 5 that is set by IFRA. When you purchase fragrance they tell you the recommended usage rate as well. So you can base it on that as well. I have found that there is no one right answer for all fragrances.

MCT oil works wonders as well, I a actually add an emollient to the formula as well

@@bettergrowth_ delicious, for the emollient. You have to pick a butter that is low in SteAric acid. The percentage of the butter will depend on the carrier oils you decide to add. I don’t get hardening other than a slight opaqueness/ but the healing benefits that emollients add to the oil is amazing. You have to really do extensive testing to get the perfect consistency when adding butters. I also add a small percentage of high grade olive-pressed squalane, takes it to the next level. The MCT keeps it from feeling oily.

Nice video, any advice on what to use for fragrance oil with carrier oil so to fix cloudiness? I’ve tried Polysorbate 20 and Polysorbate 80 and it doesn’t seem to dissolve the fragrance oil in the carrier oils (sunflower oil, grape oil oil, coconut oil) very well. Thank you.

Good question ☺️Sweet almond oil is an oleic oil. the main fatty acid is oleic acid. So replacing it with an oleic oil such as olive oil, avocado oil and rice bran oil, or even apricot kernel oil and other oils made from seeds. Hope this helps !

I don't think any one product solves all skin concerns. This product has light weight oils so its great for people with oily skin. Also you use the percentages to find the amount used for each ingredient.

Mica will probably settle and not blend in lol and it’s negligible to the percentage aspect. Vitamin A is a great skins restoration product but it’s not necessary…hope this helps ☺️

Yes! As the coco caprylate makes it drying because it's so lightweight.
