Try a Gary Moore solo thing in the time of 3/4 , like for every 4 bars tom plays, totally shred over 3 but come home on the 4, I think that's what I was talking about.....I'm not sure to be fair to you, but maybe that's what I was thinking about.

Like everyone else here I find these videos helpful in learning. This track I think I came up with a nice lead/melody. I've been playing for almost 40 years and still learning. These videos help learning which notes to play over chords.

From the south of Spain, it has been an impressive find to find you, because after many years playing the instrument, I have reached the demotivating point, where I think I am stuck in my knowledge, and progress does not appear. Thanks to your great contributions, I have regained the motivation to start studying the mastir again, and to be able to express my guitar solos with the harmonies and sounds that I have in my head for many years, and that are very similar to the yours, thank you, thank you very much .... VIVA LA MUSICA ... !!! , gracias, muchas gracias .... I love having backing tracks to kill time and trying to stay somewhat sharp...I have to say there is a Dm F Am Dm F G x 2 phrasing that shows an Am when the obvious chord played is G....

Trust me, jam with backing tracks all the time, and get yourself a Boss BR portistudio and make your own songs on it and use it for backing track practice also, it will REALLY help you Heck with a DAW, the Boss BR portistudios are WAY more fun, and they got a lot of effects, drums you can customize, bass and acoustic simulators. Trust me on this one, I've had five different ones of them since I was 19 in the Marines in 2001.
