Sucks you lost your setter and had minimal time to get comfortable with each other. But they were exciting matches, with some great rallies. Thank you for documenting the games. Win or lose. The losses can make us stronger and give us the lessons or insight to win. We always learn more from adversity in life. Always love you videos Coach, and keep up the great work. You deserve any success or praise you may receive.

This was wild to watch, I just discovered the existence of Rising Tide recently, with a ton of players both on their team and on Rukkus in VLA being players who’ve I’ve either played with, against or been coached by since I started in 8th grade 13 years ago lol, working to one day join their ranks and play in these kinds of matches!

Great game! Maybe just a suggestion you could possibly post the standings at the time of the game prior to the game starting for like 5 seconds, and then have an updated standings at the end of the game. I understand it will be different from real time, but for those of us just following game by game as they are posted its kinda cool just to see the tournament progression. Also for whoever is playing during the game you could do the head cut off photo (roster sheet) with the names underneath....kinda like how haikyuu does during their mini explanations.

Happy that you guys could get a good sub setter and were able to play, but god damn that has to be demoralizing to lose what's probably the most important position.

@@ElevateYourselfOfficial 2-1 plus crossover which we lost so 2-2. We had our outsides missing almost every serve and our middle couldn't come because he hurt his ankle the practice before. So we had our outside play middle.

I feel like slower jump floats produce way more aces than a spin serve does - at least on this level of volleyball, spin serves also seem to be way less consistent, so is it truly worth it to try doing hard spin serves rather than just getting a consistent jump float?
@mikey._.33
@mikey._.33 2 жыл бұрын
I think it depends on the player. A player with lots of power is wasted with just jump floaters. And a gentler player shouldn't spend the time developing a powerful serve, and go for a technical one.

@@mikey._.33 You speak truth, although I feel that the time it takes to develop just a consistent spin serve is about the same amount of time it takes to develop a really good jump float. I'm a pretty powerful OH but my spin serve is pretty inconsistent, especially when I hit it with a good amount of power so I opt for a jump float instead
