Hey Coach, I don't normally comment but as a long time viewer, I've really been liking the new style of videos! This video especially feels so action packed that I had to comment before even finishing!

I'm a 47 year old father of three with a bilateral hip replacement. I started playing some rec volleyball a few years ago for fun. Now I'm starting to get frustrated that I'm just not as good as I'd like to be. Watching these videos has improved my knowledge of the game and some of the techniques I need to work on. This is how sports SHOULD be - competitive but with a focus on fun and energy.
@SickLiq3 жыл бұрын
I really enjoy the extra content with these - the traveling, the traditions, between sets, etc. I watched one where you guys went out to eat and you had some stuff in the hotel. Really adds to the experience more than just some cuts of volleyball.

WOOOOOOOOOO LET'S GO COACH! It was a great video with some hype plays, the line shot at 11:00 and your block into a dive receive at 11:08 were my two favorite plays of the video!

It seems like the energy in this gym was so positive like you can tell everyone was there to have fun while still competing with each other. Lots of really strong plays and a sense of respect for the opponents that's really nice and refreshing to see. Huge props to the guy that called his own touch Random side note: I really really like the setter's hair color lol

I saw the matches in your videos a month ago and it’s nice that there’s a separate vlog for this. Cause when I was watching your previous videos, it felt like the hitters from the wings (especially the other outside hitter beside Coach Donny and Chris), I don’t know his name but kind of lacked some juice at the end but who can blame him? This was a very tough tournament. One whole day of playing. That’s gonna wear you out. But always such a joy to watch you guys play.

Random notes... * Appreciated your comments about pre-vball nutrition. One of my personal faves is a "McDonny" iced coffee for the caffeine and sugar. * That said, I cringed at the McGriddle. I've had one ever; that was too many for me. :) I was genuinely afraid that you were going to eat it at the end of the day - pls say you didn't? * Love one-armed stab digs like 5:40 and 11:35, even though people assume you just got lucky. (I practice them during pepper, and it pays off.) * The energy and also the sportsmanship (e.g., 6:51) are just a few of the reasons that vball is such a great and truly team sport. Thanks for this tournament vlog - looking forward to future match videos, plus a team intro when your roster is finalized!

Many times "light headed" or "foggy brain" will be the result of a slight breakdown in the electron transport chain - usually an electrolyte balance that favors slightly too high a ratio of potassium in the cells versus sodium outside the cells, in the blood stream. It tracks that a whole food breakfast would leave your lower on sodium a few hours later. Hard exercise combined with lower insulin levels (as your whole foods won't boost insulin like McDonald's food with all the added sugars) will lead to a diuretic effect, greater loss of free water and sodium. With the high levels of sodium and sugar in most fast food options, I suppose they would be a longer form of electrolyte balance. For what it's worth, I bet if you add some electrolyte powder to water and chug that all morning after your healthy oats/yams/whatever... you'll find the foggy/light head issues are no more 🙂 Just something I learned from a lot of fasting and study of nutrition. Hope it helps 😀
