It’s not mandatory, just fills quicker with a downward slope to the tank.

I drove 2020 F350 DRW 6.7 for 60k miles and was waiting for 2023 F450 Limited for 11 months. With no end in sight, I jumped the ship and purchased 2023 Ram 3500 Limited DRW HO 6.7 , Aisin Trans, 4.1 Gear with black out package. I had full body Suntek PPF and Ceramic coating plus nano ceramic tint for interior including the windshield. I am overly surprised how good is Ram 3500 Limited. It has better interior, smoother with auto leveling kit, TPMS, Apple like keypad. Gas mileage is par with F450 Limited. Around 15.5 driving empty. Tire will be cheaper on Ram 3500 than F450 Limited. It is not a fast truck, but fast enough . I can drive few hours and my back doesn't hurt and leg is not cramping up. I do not tow, but do haul some weight and this is my daily vehicle. I will take the Ram over Ford now but do miss 10 speed on gas mileage. I am 5'10" tall and it is very hard to see the front. On Ram, I usually have to wait before taking a chance on a tight spot. Now let's talk about this beautiful F550.. How does one do the maintenance work on this truck away from Denver CO? Is there a maintenance do list? What is the cost of F500 like on this KZbin?

We retain all factory warranties so the truck can be serviced by Ford or anyone else. The only maintenance item on our builds outside of the standard routine maintenance is a desiccant filter on the power control module for the LiquidSpring suspension. Every couple of years the filter just needs to be unscrewed and replaced as it collects moisture; very cheap part.

That looks pretty mean. That thing isn't going anywhere fun. It's too big to go anywhere but the desert or the mall. My F250 doesn't fit anywhere for heaven's sake. My F450 really doesn't fit anywhere. An F550. Forget it. It's like an earth roamer. LOL. AN RV would have been the best choice. IMO this truck will be useless except for pulling a trailer. But it is REALLY cool!!! IF ya got more dollars than sense - go for it.

Howdy, do you guys do a Black Edition upgrade to currently owned F550s? What is the price difference between upgrading a F550 compared to buying a Black Edition F550? Also, what about a Black Edition with a flatbed configuration? I have a 2024 F350 on order but i am strongly considering canceling it for a F550 due to the cost of upgrading a F350 to what I want. We build turnkey trucks from brand new chassis cabs. We pre order chassis’ and sell them on a reservation basis. Many of our clients have opted for a flatbed rather than pickup bed and we can configure those with a build as well.
