Southern is, well, a southern company. They were bought out by Otis at some point. There are a few spread out in southwest and central Virginia, and I have also seen them in North Carolina. I don't know about other states.

Southern is STILL a company, however they only do repair and inspection. They MAY do mods but I am not sure.

Whenever the Southern elevators are serviced, it is always an Otis technician. Are you sure the Southern truck you saw was referring to the elevator company, and not some other company with the same name?

cooperation videos are fun. that is a nice elevator bell. clean MPE to the half floor above. i am 5 foot 9. can you go to 1r, 2r and 3r? where are they in relation to the main floors?
