Tuscaloosa, AL was my "suffocate city." I totally relate to this song. But I did get out of that place. I ended up in Fabulous Las Vegas. Yeah, life is still a struggle, and as "just a nurse," it always will be, but at least I am in a city I love, and I am no longer in a place that I feared I would never escape. I think a lot of people in the southeast could relate to this. I wish this had come out when I was much younger. Maybe it would have inspired my escape sooner.

I was so excited to hear this song, because not only was Spencer Charnas in this song, delivering his amazing vocals, but this song was everything I imagined it to be. An absolute banger, that I'll probably have on repeat all day. With every The Funeral Portrait song there's always a catchy chorus, and though it's catchy, it can also be quite dark and disturbing, and that's everything I love about The Funeral Portrait.
