This song helped me in ways I could never express. It has kept me from clinging onto a horrible past I was trying to escape in any way possible, and my support systems have always reminded me that I'm worth getting better and that I'm not the burden I always clung onto in my heart. Losing someone so dear to my heart had me completely destroyed, at the same time, the love I've received from everyone around has taught me that I'm better than the inner demons that try to clung onto the negativity in my past. The regrets I felt escaped me when I heard this song for the first time. It was the reason I felt strong enough to seek out the help I desperately needed to feel alive again without the feeling of me desperately clinging onto the things that my brain was trying to convince me of. Music has healed me in ways I never thought possible. It showed me that I deserved the love I was receiving. It taught me that there are reasons to cling onto life and live it for not just myself, but also that I have a reason to exist. My nephews gave me hope that I was worthy of so much more than I thought possible. I live not just for myself, but the future that I will see as they grow and become everything they are meant to be. My support systems showed me that becoming a better me was possible. I received a new life through my sobriety and a life that was worth living. Thank you Bad Wolves for the inspiration to change for the better. I will always remember that this song is my first step into a better life for everyone that I love and even my own self. I can never thank you enough for giving me the push I desperately needed to be who I am now. THANK YOU! 💖

This song really hits home. My father is in and out of prison for drugs. He used to get drunk and beat the shit out of me every night. I'm currently almost 3 years sober off pain pills and over a year off alcohol. I moved to Wisconsin and live with my girl now. I finally feel like I'm home after years of searching. For a moment I can wait It's a fight I guess I'll never know For a moment I can wait I'm holding on to hope And I know you're stoned, I can see it The struggle's getting old For a moment I can wait 'Cause you said you're sober Lying and I can't get closer Tell me should I let you go? Tell me should I let you go? 'Cause you said you're sober Lying and I can't get closer Tell me should I let you go? Tell me should I let you go? Every moment I'm awake It's a fight that you could never know Every moment I'm awake I'm clinging on to hope And I feel so low but I'm dealing The struggle's getting old Every moment I'm awake But I'm getting sober Trying but I can't get closer Baby did you let me go? Baby did you let me go? Now I'm getting sober Trying but I can't get closer Baby did you let me go? Baby did you let me go? I loved this song. Im deal with self harm it's so hard to be sober and clean. I was 1mont clean. But I just been self harm but cutting hit my self. Itw a real struggle
@michaelprather56635 жыл бұрын
shawn bridges everyone fights a battle that is invisible to others. It’s good you are talking about it, because trust me. It helps to talk about it. Here’s a little bit about my self. I use to be an alcoholic and on drugs myself. (Meth and prescriptions) I was also suicidal. I killed my best friend when I was 11 years old. It was a freak accident of course. Thanks for myself on talking about it. I realize now it was an accident and it wasn’t my fault. My alcoholism and drug addiction were from all of that weight of my best friend on my shoulders. I’ve put a gun up to my head one night 4 years ago as of last month of September. My now wife was a friend of mine coming by my house to check on me because she hadn’t heard from me all day. When she walked in. She saw me with the gun to my head and as I pulled the trigger she was taking the gun out of my hand. That was the first time I talked about my past to anyone and actually came clean to who I was then. (Hinting: drugs and alcohol). Later on 3 months later I actually took the gun apart to clean it. The firing pin had broke when I pulled the trigger on myself that one night. Since then, by talking to my now wife and seeing that gun. I find it to be helpful to talk about any and everything that your demons is trying to take control of over yourself. I see things as well as do things differently now that I see light instead of darkness. So keep your head up! It’s ok to be sad! It’s ok to talk! Get everything off of your shoulders and I promise you brother. You will see light too!
