What's a good damage boost percentage to aspire to, as a general rule? I know all matches are different but as a baseline?

60% offensive and 40% healing is what you should try and aim for but either supplement more healing if needed or put out more dmg boost if your second supp is doing a lot of healing :)

what they said lol the biggest factor is gonna be your other support; who they play and what they do. you may get an ana but she goes mainly dps, or you have a kiri who's always on the flank with your tracer; you might expect them to heal a lot but in the end you'll end up 80/20 heal/boost 😂 or on the flip side, you have a lucio or a zen, but your team is perfectly on the same wavelength right out the gate and you don't need to heal much bc you're just rolling through them so you end up with 40/60 heal/boost. but rule of thumb, aim for as much boost as you can safely give without neglecting heals, and pay attention to the first few fights of each map to see who your other supp is and how they play.

I try for 70/2k amp per 10 usually and 60/1.5k if I have to healbot. On matches where I have a nice main healer as a second healer I can get to 80s too! Please don’t worry about percentages and stats though, so long as you’re supporting your team and win your matches regularly it’s not something to sweat about. You’re probably doing great anyways.

Basically if you don’t have a good dps or tank to damage boost. Or if you have a Zen/Lucio with a tank that doesn’t work with that support comp. It can work it will just be harder

Basically it’s because of how easy it becomes to finish low hp targets especially in GM, plus the other support is occupied with the tank usually.
