the train crossings sound calming in Serbia, in America, crossing sounds are very annoying, in England, crossings sound even more annoying, in Russia, crossings sound like old phones ringing:reference of in America we drive on the right side of the road! in England we drive on the left side of the road, in Russia, ROAD IS ROAD!

Yes, the barrier on the other side is damaged. In Serbia railroad crossings are sometimes in poor conditions due to lack of maintenance. A great renovation effort is underway.
