I’m new to this elf on the shelf thing with my 2 year old lol the elf’s name is cane and so far he ended up my daughters stocking and she was shocked to see him in it he is now in our Christmas tree with a note saying just thought I’d be a tree elf today I can’t wait to see her face when she wakes up and see he moved I just keep looking for some fun and funny ideas to do 😊

You can just move it to a new spot if you want.. it's just the idea that the elf left to see Santa, then landed in a new spot in your home. The official website is really helpful too, they give tips for what to say if it's in the same spot and a lot of other scenarios.

Does Elf on the Shelf supposed to behave mischievous? 🤔 I’ve seen a lot of videos with ideas of naughty things the Elf could be doing. So I don’t really get that part because I thought the point of Elf on the Shelf was to report the kids’ good and bad behavior back to Santa. So why would he/she behave badly?

It's up to you. Some elves misbehave, but yes the idea is for elf to report behavior back to Santa.

My niece has an elf and we had told my daughter that my nieces elf reports back to her elf. But now that I'm moving on I really don't want to skip a beat. My daughter is 4 and she almost has anxiety wondering what's going to happen with her elf and if they'll be able to find us. Im almost afraid to mess this up for her. But again thank you so much
