People are imaginative beings. We tend to feel more free when we let go of silly formalities and what society deems as normal. This is also why people seem to flock to the events that we call "fantasy fairs" over here in the Netherlands. Think of a medieval or renaissance fair, but less specialized in a set historical era so people are free to come as who/ what they want to be.
We (Chris and Jasper) have been going to these fairs for quite a while and have enjoyed the hospitality and tolerance of the people there. As we have both graduated from an audio-visually oriented study, we felt it to be right to try and give these people a voice and have them be brought to the screen by some of their own.
