Excellent!

how did you program the 3 buttons on the left of the stream deck? the page up, page, page down. how do they react if a button was press then display something on the other button? thank you very much.
@brytCAST2 жыл бұрын
They are automatically preloaded as default setup of the companion software but they can be edited or removed. The function is to provide multiple banks/pages of buttons due to the limited amount on the streamdeck. You can have multiple settings for ATEM or whatever and access the pages live in real time.

Which effect on the Behringer Xair do you use for the Devil Voice? That is really fun :-)

Really cool Video! Will this work with the old Streamdeck (the one without the buttons on the front)?
@brytCAST5 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure what you mean by "old Streamdeck without butttons" they all have buttons. If you mean "old Blackmagic ATEM" the answer is yes, it supports all models and this video was made on the older model. It also works on the ATEM HD (the one with buttons on the front).

Can you also use the Stream Deck and Bitfocus Companion software to control a Blackmagicdesign ATEM Studio Production 4K Switcher?
@brytCAST5 жыл бұрын
Yes. Companion supports multiple models of ATEM via the Blackmagic API. Some features may or may not be implemented for a particular model though.

@@brytCAST I have that very ATEM desk, so it sounds very handy to have auxiliary control over the desk if you're not sitting directly in front of it, as can occasionally happen on site.

Thanks for this. One question: if you install Companion, does that then prevent you from using the Stream Deck native software? Or is there a way to use both on one Stream Deck?
@brytCAST2 жыл бұрын
You can use both software simultaneously.

@@brytCAST Thanks. I eventually figured out that Stream Deck has a Companion plugin.

Hi. I can't get my stream deck talking to my Atem mini. When I enter the IP address of the Mini in Companion's Atem Configuration window and hit Apply Changes, there is no instance status update under the Instances tab. (Both Stream Deck and Atem Mini are hooked up to my mac... but no luck.) Any suggestions? TIA
@brytCAST4 жыл бұрын
I believe the new ATEM Mini needs updated Companion software. I would suggest joining the Companion Facebook group to get updates on this.
@hughan004 жыл бұрын
brytCAST thank you for your reply. In fact I got my stream deck and Atem mini to talk to each other via Ethernet. Physical connection from router to Atem mini.

Is it possible to increase or decrease X-air volume? I can't see that option in Companion.
@brytCAST2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately at the time of this video, there was no ability to interface with the fader functions. A MIDI type interface would be better for that functionality.

How do you connect the Streamdeck to the Atem and the X air at the same time to send them orders?
@brytCAST5 жыл бұрын
See @ 4:22 Launch GUI and add connections to multiple devices. You can assign any buttons from connected devices.

How do you get the buttons from Companion to appear on the Streamdeck? Did you show that?

Yes. It's at this timestamp: Configuring Custom ATEM Source Button: 5:08

Hi! Can we start ATEM macros with the stream deck ?
@brytCAST5 жыл бұрын
I haven't tried that.
@johnmortensen27794 жыл бұрын
YES You CAN!
@bryanhenry65145 жыл бұрын
So how did you create the image of the buttons for the ATEM functions?
@brytCAST5 жыл бұрын
Bryan, I brought up the Blackmagic ATEM Software Control on a Mac and captured each of the button graphics using Shift-Command-4 selecting each button auto-saving to a .PNG file. I re-sized each graphic to the recommended 72x58 pixels. You can use any .PNG file resized or cropped. The templates for Blackmagic ATEM already have text based buttons so you don't necessarily need to make your own custom .PNG file if you just want to get up and running.
