@@loriliberty8984 Geoff, Tony and Geoff's wife Kathy performed in the Beetlejuice Graveyard Revue at Universal Studios Orlando for 10 years until it got closed down for a new show. Geoff was Frankenstein monster. Kathy was Frank's girlfriend. Tony was Dracula. Geoff was a baritone and not as deep as now. Over the years it has deepened. There are a bunch of videos of the show on KZbin.... Beetlejuice Graveyard Revue Universal Studios Orlando. The last year was in 2015. That's where they worked when she found out she was losing her hearing and then went deaf. She wears special hearing aids so she can hear. Wouldn't know it. Can't see them and she hears pretty good. She's their production manager.

Have you heard Kurt Hugo Schneider ft. Voiceplay when they do "Waving Through A Window". Eli is the lead singer and he and the others do it sooo well. You will surely get shivers running through your body.

Voiceplay is fantastic with lighting. Background lighting helps with creating distance so you stand out and not seem to be ‘it’ with the wall.

The whole of that album is beautiful and so pretty and so much fun with all sorts of weird carols that are almost twisted to be more than the songs we all know...

I agree! I do like the First Noel, but this version is sooo much better 😂 I love how it is much more lively.

Yes, there are times in this song where Eli sings higher than Earl. There's also times when he sings lower than Tony. His range is bonkers and he sounds great here. Also, Tony is just a stunningly beautiful man. All the time. Lighting, wardrobe, none of that really makes a difference - he is just always gorgeous.

For the most part, I am a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas music. That being said, this is one of my favorite Christmas songs they've ever done. The jazzy feel, Layne's insane beatboxing and noise making, Eli's runs, Earl and Tony's solos and Geoff. All freaking fantastic!

I've thought about using this version as a template for an instrumental arrangement for my brass band. They are SOOO talented at arranging music. I'm still starting out as a band arranger, yet I can pick out the harmonies they use, how they switch things up, and all the amusing tidbits that show the insane talent of these guys. Geoff and Layne are next level, and they inspire someone like me.

Geoff and Layne created the PVC pipe and lights backdrop, they all help setting things up including the lighting and the camera. They shot this one themselves, without a camera operator, using a camera on a tripod. Geoff was the arranger for this song. "And they were singing..." was not part of the original song. "The First Nowell" is a traditional Cornish carol from the 1500s, with the version we know first being published centuries later in 1823 in "Carols Ancient and Modern," edited by William Sandys and arranged by Davies Gilbert.

@DJ Eli does all of their lighting. At least for all of their modern stuff. I don't know who did the lighting for this one, but right now Eli is the one you want to talk to about lighting. Also, given that Layne was the one doing the outro, my assumption is that Layne is the one that arranged this song. Which makes total sense given how freaking complex the beat was in this one. Like how many times did he outright change Time Signature and, thus, the beat in this song? Yeah... only a percussionist would be able to come up with that and that would be Layne.

Ok DJ. Now besides Voiceplay and Geoff's videos coming up really soon you have got to do..... Wait for it...... What Do You Give A Wookie For. Christmas When He Already Has A Comb. Yes. Thats the full title. Voiceplay did amazing with it. I remembered it at the end when it was geoff and Layne. Another good old one to do but isn't Christmas is.... What Does The Fox Say. Ok..... Earl was Tenor 1, Eli Tenor 2. Tony baritone. Tony left 2016. J None replaced Tony 2019. Earl left 2020. Eli moved to tenor 1. No replacement for Earl. J None left 2021. Cesar joined shortly to replace J None. Cesar's title us baritone but can do tenor as well. When i write an introduction to people who don't know the nsmes.... Cesar - baritone, tenor.
